AI in transformation
AI and work organisation
Redesigning tasks, roles and collaboration between people and AI systems.

When AI supplements or takes over tasks, workflows, job profiles and capacity requirements change. The aim here is to design the division of work between people and AI systems so that it makes economic sense and is sustainable for those involved. The starting point is the actual work in a given area.
What you come away with
- An analysis of the tasks AI can supplement or take over
- Adjusted roles, responsibilities and job profiles
- Tested and documented ways of working for collaboration between people and AI
How we work
- 01
Select the area
Define an area of work and the workflows concerned.
- 02
Analyse tasks
Assess with those involved what AI can supplement or take over.
- 03
Design the division of work
Reshape roles, responsibility and interfaces.
- 04
Trial and transfer
Test new ways of working, review them and transfer them to further areas.
Examining tasks and workflows
A selected area of work is examined together with the people involved. Which tasks can AI improve, supplement or take over? Which still require experience, judgement and social skills? This produces a realistic picture of the possible change.
Reshaping roles and responsibility
Changed workflows change roles. We clarify who checks AI results, who makes decisions and how information flows on at the interfaces. Job profiles and competency requirements are adjusted. Decisions on how to use freed-up capacity are also prepared.
The decisive question is not what AI can do, but how people and AI can work better together.
Trialling and embedding new ways of working
The new division of work is trialled in a limited area and reviewed jointly. What proves itself is incorporated into processes, role descriptions and routines. The experience informs the transfer to further areas.
Book an initial callUsing relief deliberately
A sensible division of work can relieve employees of suitable routine tasks. The time gained should be used for tasks in which experience, judgement, creativity and social skills are decisive. This only works if the shift is planned deliberately.
How this differs from AI transformation
AI transformation looks at introducing AI across the company and placing fields of application strategically. AI and work organisation goes one level deeper: into the specific workflows, roles and interfaces of an area in which AI is already used or is to be used.

Deliverables: An analysis of the tasks AI can supplement or take over; Adjusted roles, responsibilities and job profiles; Tested and documented ways of working for collaboration between people and AI.
We design work organisation, roles and responsibility. Technical implementation, employment-law questions and the involvement of employee representatives are coordinated with the relevant bodies. We do not promise savings across the board; targets need a concrete baseline.
Frequently asked questions
Will AI eliminate jobs?
That can only be judged case by case. Often job profiles and capacity requirements change. How freed-up resources are used is a management decision that we help prepare.
Who is involved in the design?
The employees and managers of the area concerned, because they know the workflows best, and IT and other specialists where needed.
In which areas does this make sense?
Wherever there are recurring tasks, many handovers or extensive information processing, for example in administration, sales, procurement or service.
